Refractories – Alumina Range

High-Purity Alumina Refractories for High-Temperature Industrial Applications

Dense, Insulating and Monolithic Alumina Refractories for Demanding High-Temperature Environments

Our range of refractories includes a comprehensive selection of high-purity alumina, high alumina-mullite, mullite and zirconia refractory products for use in high-temperature kilns and furnaces. The range includes fired and shaped refractories, insulating products and castables, with solutions available for applications including muffles, supports, setters, hearth plates, customised shapes and kiln furniture.

The ALFRAX range is available in both fired shaped products and castable grades, from alumina bubble-based insulating materials through to sintered and dense alumina products. Depending on the grade, the materials are capable of operating at temperatures up to 1800°C, providing solutions for demanding thermal environments across industries including Chemical, Heat Treatment, Nuclear and Pyrometry.

Why Choose ALFRAX Alumina Refractories?

The ALFRAX range provides a combination of high purity, temperature resistance, strength and thermal insulation, allowing the appropriate refractory grade to be selected according to the operating conditions and application.

Available formulations include dense and insulating alumina products, as well as monolithic castables for applications requiring shaped or cast refractory protection. The range also includes products designed for environments where hydrogen atmospheres, high temperatures and demanding mechanical conditions are present.
